Eleutherococcus: Properties and Benefits

Generality

Eleutherococcus (botanical name Eleutherococcus senticosus) is a shrub belonging to the Araliacee family, approximately two meters tall and native to the north-eastern Asian regions.

Also known as Siberian ginseng, eleutherococcus falls into the category of plants with adaptogenic and anti-fatigue action. In addition to the aforementioned ginseng and eleutherococcus, echinacea (Echinacea spp.), Indian basil (Ocimum sanctum) and rhodiola (Rhodiola rosea).
