CRYSTACIDE ® is a drug based on hydrogen peroxide
THERAPEUTIC GROUP: Antiseptics and disinfectants
Indications CRYSTACIDE ® Hydrogen peroxide
CRYSTACIDE ® is indicated in the treatment of skin infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to hydrogen peroxide.
Mechanism of action CRYSTACIDE ® Hydrogen peroxide
Hydrogen peroxide, the active ingredient of CRYSTACIDE ®, is a highly reactive oxygen free radical with an intense oxidizing power capable of altering the normal structures and functions of the biomolecules, thus exerting a bacteriostatic and weakly bactericidal action.
Generally it is the interaction of the peroxide with the proteins and nucleic acids of the bacterial element that determines a reduction in the vital capacity of the latter, thus compromising both the normal metabolic and replicative processes, thus limiting the proliferation and spread of the species pathogenic.
The aforementioned bacteriostatic activity, safe when carried out on non-closed areas, has proved effective against Gram positive, Gram negative and some fungi, thus defining a fairly broad spectrum of action that allows its optimal use in the clinical setting. .

Method of use and dosage
CRYSTACIDE ®
1% hydrogen peroxide cream for skin use.
Generally it is recommended to apply the correct amount of cream on the skin region to be treated, 2-3 times a day, taking care not to prolong the treatment for more than three weeks.
Warnings CRYSTACIDE ® Hydrogen peroxide
The application of CRYSTACIDE ® should be limited to infected skin and for short periods of time, since repeated skin applications could give rise to sensitization phenomena, tissue discoloration and local or systemic adverse reactions.
It is also recommended to avoid contact with exposed eyes and mucous membranes as well as with deep skin lesions.
Store CRYSTACIDE ® in a cool, dry place out of the reach of children.
PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
The use of CRYSTACIDE ® during pregnancy should be limited to cases of unavoidable necessity and constantly supervised by your gynecologist.
Interactions
It is recommended to avoid the simultaneous use of other skin or systemic oxidants.
Contraindications CRYSTACIDE ® Hydrogen peroxide
The use of CRYSTACIDE ® is contraindicated in patients hypersensitive to the active substance or to one of its excipients.
Undesirable Effects - Side Effects
The use of CRYSTACIDE ® is generally safe and well tolerated.
Only rarely is it possible to perceive a slight burning sensation, while even more rare are the adverse reactions of hypersensitivity to the active ingredient.
Note
CRYSTACIDE ® is a drug not subject to mandatory medical prescription.
