Editorial board Nafazoline - Chemical Structure
Precisely for this reason, naphazoline is available in pharmaceutical forms suitable for ocular (eye drops) and nasal (nasal drops and sprays), both alone and in combination with other active ingredients such as tonzylamine or ephedrine (other decongestants), betamethasone (a corticosteroid), tetracycline or thyrotricin (antibiotic drugs), antazoline (a first generation antihistamine), zinc phenolsulfonate.
Many of the medicines containing naphazoline are over-the-counter (OTC) drugs, therefore, they can be purchased freely without having to present a medical prescription; an exception is made for medicines containing naphazoline in combination with active ingredients such as betamethasone, for which, on the other hand, a repeatable medical prescription is required.
