Hodgkin's lymphoma is also known as Hodgkin's syndrome or malignant lymphogranuloma; the disease bears the name of the discoverer, Thomas Hodgkin, who in 1832 described this neoplastic form for the first time.
The most common onset symptom of Hodgkin's lymphoma is swelling, usually painless, of a lymph node in the neck, armpit, or groin.
