I have just prepared a beautiful salty panettone and now I would like to stuff it with many different sauces, ham, salmon and vegetables. Let's see: the cocktail sauce is there, the green sauce as well, ok for the mayonnaise and the olive paté. I miss one on appeal. Sure! Tartar sauce! Shall we prepare it together?

- 20 g of capers
- 30 g (3 large) of gherkins
- A few stems or 1 teaspoon of chives
- 1 tablespoon of untreated lemon juice
- 100-120 ml of corn oil
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon of mustard
- 60 g (1 medium) of eggs
- 1 sprig of parsley
Materials Needed
- Immersion mixer
- High-sided container (becker)
- Chopping board
- Knife or crescent
- Bowl
Preparation
To prepare the tartar sauce we have chosen the easier version: in fact we will not use the electric whisk (which would make the preparation more complicated) but the immersion mixer. The result is always guaranteed!
- First prepare the mayonnaise. In a beaker (or in a container with high sides) pour an egg (which must be at room temperature), avoiding breaking the yolk. Then combine the seed oil all at once, the mustard, the salt and 1 spoon of lemon juice.
- Immerse the mixer and blend for a few moments until the sauce is consolidated.
- In a cutting board for food, chop the parsley, the chives, the gherkins and the capers with a crescent or with a sharp knife: you will have to obtain a not excessively thin mince.
- Add the mix of vegetables to the basic mayonnaise sauce and leave to cool in the fridge.
- The tartar sauce is ready to be served.
Alice's comment - PersonalCooker
There are different versions to prepare the tartar sauce: there are those who add hard-boiled eggs, those who prefer the stronger version with onion and those who even combine the béchamel. I have proposed the variant I prefer: my tartar sauce will be perfect for filling the salty panettone, to prepare canapés, to fill vol-au-vent, to make delicious sandwiches etc.Nutritional values and Health Comment on the recipe
