Today we will prepare a walking ice cream: practical, easy and irresistible. Have you already understood what it is? I am not referring to cones, but to "stick" ice creams, also called penguins or cremini. The beauty is that we can customize the penguins according to our taste, choosing any type of ice cream (hazelnut ice cream, stracciatella ice cream, malaga ice cream, pumpkin ice cream etc.), covering them with white, milk or dark chocolate, and embellishing them with chopped hazelnuts, pistachios and much more. Let's work!

Preparation
Please note
To prepare this recipe we suggest the use of homemade pumpkin ice cream, chocolate ice cream and stracciatella ice cream and strawberry ice cream. However, it is possible to replicate the recipe using any other type of ice cream flavor.- Fill the cremino molds with ice cream, then stick the special wooden or plastic stick in the center of each mold.
- Place the molds in the freezer and leave to harden for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Chop the white chocolate and combine it in a bowl. Chop the dark chocolate and combine it in another bowl with the coconut oil (optional).
Did you know that
Adding coconut oil to dark chocolate is a small trick that will allow you to obtain a glossy and shiny coating of the cremino! On the other hand, it is not essential to add oil to white chocolate due to the abundant quantity of cocoa butter present in the food, even if the presence of oil favors its spreadability.- Melt the two types of chocolate separately (in the microwave or in a bain-marie), then allow to cool until room temperature is reached.
- Gently detach the penguin ice creams from the molds, then quickly dip them in melted, white or dark chocolate to taste. With a brush, remove the excess chocolate from the penguins and decorate them with chopped pistachios or hazelnuts.
- Place the ice creams on a tray lined with baking paper. Immediately place in the freezer and allow the chocolate to set.
- Penguin ice creams can be embellished with additional chocolate decorations.
