This is why we tried to depict a gym with sugar paste. Given that any type of base and filling can be used to prepare this dessert, we describe our proposals below.
To prepare the base of the cake, we made a 20x30 cm SPONGE CAKE. We filled the sponge cake with 700 g of CUSTARD CREAM.
To prepare the second cake we made a square sponge cake, where we then obtained a disc with a diameter of 20 cm. We filled the cake with a CHOCOLATE PUDDING.- For the base: soak the sponge cake with the syrup of milk and liqueur (rum or orange liqueur). Fill with classic custard (or with chocolate custard). Cover the entire surface of the cake with the orange marmalade. Finally, cover the cake with the white sugar paste.
- For the second cake. Cut the cake in half. Prepare the filling: heat a part of the milk and melt the dark chocolate cut into pieces and the sugar. Dilute the cornstarch in the remaining cold milk and add the mixture to the hot milk mixture: cook until the mixture is firm, stirring constantly. Soak the two discs of sponge cake with the slightly alcoholic syrup, then fill with the chocolate pudding. Cover the cake with the remaining orange marmalade and the red sugar paste.
- Place the round cake on top of the rectangular base with the help of a resistant spatula.
- Make a very long pink string and place it at the base of the rectangular cake. Make another red string and place it at the base of the round cake.
- Now prepare all the objects of the gym with the sugar paste (PDZ), starting with the "dumbbells": get two balls the size of a hazelnut and a cylinder 3 cm long and ½ cm in diameter. Insert a spaghetti of pasta in the cylinder and skewer the 2 balls in each of the ends. Here is prepared a classic gym dumbbell. With a food marker write the weight in kg (eg 3Kg) directly on the ends of the dumbbells. Make 3-4 dumbbells as you like using different PDZs.
- To prepare the Kettlebell shape a piece of colored sugar paste into a ball the size of a hazelnut. Instead, use a thin string of sugar paste to make the handle.
- To make a gym rope, shape a piece of sugar paste into a long, thin cord. Arrange 2 pieces of sugar paste at the ends to make the grip handles. Roll the string around itself and place it on top of the cake.
- Then make the exercise mat with the blue sugar paste: roll it out with a rolling pin until you get a rectangle. With the blade of a knife or a scoop draw the grooves in the mat. Place the mat on the base of the cake.
- Now prepare a female silhouette. For the realization of the various parts of the body you need: 1 pink PDZ ball for the head, 2 blue balls for the shoes, 4 pink PDZ cords for the limbs, 1 piece of purple PDZ for the bust. For the preparation of the hair it is recommended to crush a ball of brown PDZ in the garlic squeezer. To assemble the pieces, it is recommended to use food glue and water or pasta spaghetti.
- Place the female silhouette on the mat, drawing the details with the food markers.
- For the final inscription, make a glaze by mixing powdered sugar, water and blue food coloring until a very thick consistency is obtained. Pour the icing into a pastry bag and write "My-personaltrainerTV" (or another written as you like) on the surface of the red cake.
- The cake is ready to amaze and be eaten!
