Even when I have some free time, I can't stay away from the kitchen and any excuse is good to get in the kitchen! I noticed that there was a giant pot of yogurt in the fridge, so I got the inspiration to prepare some sweets: a little flour, a little jam, an egg, a little yogurt and voila! and sugar?
In this recipe we will not add sugar to the dough because we have used sweet yogurt and jam. The biscuits can still be sweetened, before and after cooking, with simple icing sugar.- Mix all the ingredients, mixing first with a wooden spoon, then by hand: you will have to obtain a smooth and elastic dough.
- Wrap the dough in cling film and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
- Remove the dough from the film, roll it out with a rolling pin and obtain a rectangle with a thickness of 2-3 cm.
- Cut the rectangle into 4 parts, first horizontally, then vertically, thus forming 4 more rectangles.
- Wrap each rectangle, starting from the long side: thus obtain 4 rolled cylinders.
- Cut each cylinder into 4-5 mm slices: you will get pinwheels.
The greedy idea
To make the sweets even more delicious, you can fill each pinwheel with a teaspoon of jam: in this case, after making the pinwheel, just press the center and fill with jam.- Arrange the yogurt pinwheels on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and bake at 180 ° C for about 15 minutes. To obtain crunchy biscuits, continue cooking for another 5-6 minutes.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and sprinkle with icing sugar.
- Serve.
Alice's comment - PersonalCooker
Have you seen how "it is easy to make these really light biscuits? I prefer them rather soft, but I recommend you try them in the crunchy version too: continue cooking for 5-6 minutes and then leave them in the oven, they will toast inside and out and creak under the teeth!Nutritional values and Health Comment on the recipe
