If you were convinced that hot chocolate was an exclusive delicacy of the coldest months of the year, I would like to convince you that this is not the case. In fact, today we will prepare an exquisite cold chocolate together, to be enjoyed as an afternoon dessert or better yet to be savored for breakfast. And to counter the summer heat, I propose the mint-scented cold chocolate, for an intense balsamic thrill!

-
Ingrediants
- 150 ml of water
- 50 g of sugar
- 150 g of dark chocolate
- 350 ml of milk
- 1 bunch of mint
Materials Needed
- Casserole
- Small container for the syrup
- Wooden ladles
- Chopping board
- Knife
- Whip
Preparation
- Prepare the syrup: pour the water into a saucepan, add the sugar and mint, then bring to a boil. Turn off the heat and pour the syrup into a small bowl. Allow to cool.
Why prepare the syrup?
The syrup is important to give "body" and structure to the chocolate: in this case, the syrup can be considered a sort of thickener.- Cut the chocolate (extra-dark type recommended) into small pieces.
- Bring the milk to a boil and melt the chopped chocolate in it, continuing to stir to avoid sticking the mixture to the container.
- Add the syrup and let it cool, first at room temperature, then in the fridge.
- Serve the cold chocolate, decorating as desired with a few mint leaves.
The right idea
Those who wish can also add small pieces of ice to make a sort of chocolate grenadine.
Again, those who do not like mint can replace it with orange peel.Alice's comment - PersonalCooker
This mint-scented cold chocolate in a cup is a true hymn to summer: just what I need to cheer me up a little. Ideal to sip in the morning to start the day with sprint and grit! The sweet tooth can taste it with a splash of whipped cream but watch out for the calories !!Nutritional values and Health Comment on the recipe
