The idea OK
If you don't have much time, you can also buy pre-cooked polenta. In this case, to obtain the same consistency, the doses are: 1 liter of water and 200 g of pre-cooked white flour; a practical and quick idea, since polenta cooks in just 5 minutes!- Wet a silicone mold (about 30 cm long) with water: this is important to easily detach the polenta from the mold.
- Then pour half of the polenta into the mold and level the surface with a wooden spoon. Then distribute the Asiago cheese cut into small pieces and pour the remaining polenta into the mold. Leave to cool for about 15 minutes.
- After the necessary time has elapsed, turn the polenta onto a serving dish: the operation is very simple and does not require special precautions.
- Therefore, decorate the sapling as desired. First sprinkle the chopped parsley over the entire surface of the tree. Build the “trunk” with dried tomatoes: the maneuver can be facilitated by piercing the cherry tomatoes with a toothpick. Then arrange in an orderly manner the previously boiled carrot slices and the stuffed (or black) olives cut in half, as if they were tree balls. With capers, instead, build Christmas ribbons, typical Christmas tree decorations.
- Warm in the oven for 10 minutes before serving.
Alice's comment - PersonalCooker
In an "elegant table set for a party, no one will be able to resist the temptation to taste a" sprig "of this wonderful Christmas culinary decoration.Nutritional values and Health Comment on the recipe
The snow-covered tree with stuffed polenta is a low-calorie second dish. Of course, reading the ingredients would not be said exactly and making a "dry" count (ie before cooking), the nutritional values would be exponentially higher. D "on the other hand, polenta “quintuples” its weight following rehydration; this means that 100g of liquid polenta corresponds to 20g of flour with 80ml of water and salt. Adding the remaining ingredients (all low in energy, except for Asiago), the result is a first course rich in water and fiber, BUT definitely low in calories.
