Grindelia in Herbal Medicine: Property of Grindelia
The hydroalcoholic extracts obtained from the flowering tops of grindelia have disinfectant, mucolytic and spasmolytic properties on the smooth bronchial muscles. However, no human clinical studies are available to evaluate safety and efficacy.
Grindelia is also recognized as having cardiotonic properties.
Contraindications
Avoid use in case of known hypersensitivity to one or more components of grindelia.
