What is the Blood Group Diet?
This diet recommends taking certain foods and eliminating others depending on whether or not they belong to a certain blood group.
Developed by the "American Peter D" Adamo, it is based on the fact that blood groups are born as a result of human evolution due to dietary changes.
In fact we have:
- Group 0 (hunter). It is the first blood group to appear on Earth. It was born about 50,000, 40,000 years ago, following a large consumption of meat rich in proteins.
- Group A (farmer). It was born following the introduction of agriculture and animal breeding about 25,000 - 15,000 years ago.
- Group B (nomad). It was born around the Himalayas, 10,000 - 15,000 years ago. It was made up of nomadic populations whose diet was mainly based on pastoralism, therefore meat and dairy products.
- AB group (mix). It is the most recent blood group, born just 1000 - 1200 years ago from the crossing of group A with that of group B, caused by the victories of the barbarians (group B) over the Romans (group A).
So, according to D "Adam, each blood group was born in a specific period of history and today we should feed on it.
He divides foods into three categories:
- Benefits, which act like drugs.
- Indifferent, they normally act like food.
- To Avoid, all those foods that are harmful to that blood type
What to eat?
The different blood groups should follow this eating pattern:
GROUP 0
- Food Benefits beef, lamb, mutton, veal, game, fish, vegetables, fruit
- Foods to avoid cereals, legumes, cabbage, pork, caviar, cheeses, eggs, legumes, cereals, crucifers
- Indifferent foods red meat, spinach, broccoli, liver
GROUP A
- Foods Benefits Soya cheese, soy milk, linseed oil, olive oil, peanuts, peanut butter, pumpkin seeds, red soy, azuki beans, lentils, amaranth, buckwheat, oatmeal, rice flour , Rye flour
- Foods to Avoid Meat, sole, red beans, wheat germ, nightshades, oranges, mandarins
- Indifferent foods soy, vegetables, pineapple, vegetable oils
GROUP B
- Food Benefits lamb, mutton, rabbit, dairy products, fish, rice, barley, fruit, vegetables
- Foods to Avoid Chicken, pork, shellfish, seeds, nuts, black beans, chickpeas, corn, wheat, tomatoes, pomegranate
- Indifferent foods vegetables, meat, eggs, liver, licorice
GROUP AB
- Foods Benefits lamb, turkey, soft cheeses, fish, snails, tofu, vegetables, fruit
- Foods to Avoid pork, beef, shellfish, mushrooms, oranges, tropical fruit, chicken
- Indifferent foods pineapple, cherries, plums
