Fusidic Acid in Cream, Eye Drops and Capsules

In fact, it is available in dermatological creams and ointments and eye drops; but it is also possible to find it in the form of hard capsules for oral use. Fusidic acid-based medicines are dispensable upon presentation of a repeatable medical prescription (RR) and, since they are classified as class C drugs, they cannot be granted by the National Health System, and their cost is entirely borne by the citizen.

Fusidic acid can be used either alone or in combination with other active ingredients such as betamethasone, triamcinolone and hydrocortisone. Some medicines are already formulated with these combinations within them.
