-
Ingrediants
- 650 g of Easter dove
- 100 g of concentrated milk
- 250 ml of fresh cream
- 150 g of fresh ricotta
- 100 g of sour cherries in syrup
- 50 ml of milk
Materials Needed
- Chopping board
- Knife
- Electric whips
Preparation
- Prepare the Easter dove as recommended in THIS VIDEO or use a ready-made dove.
- Cut the dove horizontally, on the top to create a sort of lid with a thickness of 2-3 cm.
- Carve the dove internally and, leaving an edge about 2 cm thick, dig the inside to obtain a casket.
- Prepare the filling. In a bowl, whip the fresh cream until stiff. Separately, cream the fresh ricotta with the condensed milk.
- Mix the cream with the ricotta cream, adding a few spoonfuls of black cherries in syrup to taste.
The alternative idea
Don't you love black cherries? Try to enrich the colomba with raspberries in syrup or with fresh strawberries left to soak in a sugar syrup for a few hours.- Wet the dove chest with the black cherry syrup diluted with a few tablespoons of milk.
- Fill the dove with the cream, up to halfway. Arrange the removed pieces of dove neatly, cutting them into slices and creating a homogeneous layer.
Pieces of leftover dove?
Get it back! Prepare some Easter cups or cake pops!- Fill with the remaining cream and cover with the dove shell.
- Place the cake in the freezer for at least 3 hours.
- Remove the stuffed dove from the freezer, leave at room temperature for 10 minutes before cutting and serving.
Alice's comment - PersonalCooker
The colomba with "ice cream surprise" is a different way to propose this dessert by modernizing the tradition: at the end of the Easter lunch, a refreshing dessert is what we need to finish with a flourish! You can clearly customize the colomba by filling it with other types of ice cream to your taste.Nutritional values and Health Comment on the recipe
