Guys, here I am again in My-personaltrainer's kitchen. I can't hide things, so I immediately take a toad out of my throat and say it all in one breath: this is my latest recipe that I already propose to you, considering my unwelcome comments on my "imperfect" R, I decided, together with the Site Administrator and the You-tube channel administrator, to resign. But I want to involve you in the last recipe: we will prepare a potato and tuna meatloaf, just for Easter!

- 90 KCal Calories per serving
-
Ingrediants
- 800 g of potatoes
- 150 g of tuna in drained oil
- 1 teaspoon of mustard
- q.s. of salt
- 30 g of capers
- 1 or 2 anchovy fillets
- 100 g of gherkins
- 100 g of spreadable cheese
- 50 g of cherry tomatoes
Materials Needed
- Casserole with lid
- Potato masher
- Platter
- Mixer
- Large bowl
- Pastry bag or pastry syringe
- Chopping board
- Knife
Preparation
- Wash and scrub the potatoes with the peel to remove traces of soil. Arrange the potatoes in a large saucepan, fill with water and bring to a boil. Cook the potatoes for 45 minutes, or until softened.
- Remove the potatoes from the cooking water and peel them with your hands, possibly with the help of a small knife to avoid burns.
- Mash the potatoes in a bowl.
- Pour the tuna into the container of a blender: add the mustard paste, some capers and the anchovy. Blend until creamy.
- Add the tuna cream to the mashed potatoes, mixing well to mix all the ingredients. Salt to taste.
The advice OK
To avoid overdoing it with salt, it is advisable to salt the potatoes only after adding the tuna cream, which is already salty in itself.
If the dough is too compact, you can add a drop of milk or another teaspoon of mustard.- Arrange the tuna and potato mixture on a serving dish, trying to create a shape of a fish.
- Cut the cherry tomatoes and pickled gherkins into thin slices. Arrange the slices of cherry tomatoes on the "tail" of the fish and fit the slices of gherkin on the "body" of the fish to form the gills.
- Fill a pastry syringe with the spreadable cheese and decorate the entire perimeter of the fish. Decorate the "snout" of the fish as desired, perhaps creating the eye with a tuft of spreadable cheese and a caper, and the mouth with a slice of tomato.
Did you know that
In this recipe we have suggested using spreadable cheese instead of mayonnaise: in this way, the meatloaf will be lighter.- The tuna and potato meatloaf can be served warm or cold from the fridge.
