Urine collection instructions for 24 hour examination
For the 24-hour urine collection it is necessary to strictly follow this procedure:
- On the morning of the day of collection start, discard all the urine from the first morning urination, completely emptying the bladder into the toilet. Note the time (eg 7 o'clock).
- Collect in a suitable container all the urine emitted from this moment onwards in the following 24 hours, including those of the night and those of the first urination on the second day; the collection must therefore be finished at the same time as the beginning of the collection (7 am of the following day), completely emptying the bladder into the container.
