In some cases, muscle pain is the result of simple fatigue; at other times, this manifestation is the consequence of trauma, inflammatory processes, excessive and incorrect use of the part, infections, systemic diseases or psychosomatic tensions. Muscle pains can also be neuropathic, immune and metabolic in nature.
Muscle pain ranges from simple discomfort to reduced mobility of the part involved. Myalgia can be transient in duration and resolve spontaneously. However, if this symptom is persistent and particularly severe, it is always best to see a doctor in order to get an accurate diagnosis. Depending on the triggering cause of the muscle pain, the doctor will indicate a specific and targeted treatment to solve or alleviate the problem.
