Dimenhydrinate against Movement Sickness

Dimenhydrinate consists of the combination of diphenhydramine with 8-chloroteophylline and possesses antihistamine and anticholinergic activities. It is available in various over-the-counter (OTC) drugs, therefore freely purchasable, for the treatment of nausea, vomiting and dizziness from motion sickness (motion sickness).

We also report that there are also medicines based on dimenhydrinate in combination with cinnarizine whose indications concern the treatment of adult patients with vertiginous symptoms of various origins. In this article, however, we will deal with the characteristics of dimenhydrinate alone used against movement sickness.
