Betamethasone is available in numerous medicines suitable for different routes of administration (topical / cutaneous, oral, parenteral), both alone and in combination with other active ingredients. In most cases, in order to be dispensed, the medicines a based on betamethasone only require a repeatable medical prescription (RR); some of them are classified as class C drugs, therefore, their cost is fully borne by the citizen; others, however, are classified as class A drugs therefore , where applicable, their cost can be reimbursed by the National Health System (SSN).
