Objectives and indications of a gymnastics of maximum effectiveness
Given the premises, the improvements that must pursue a gymnastics of maximum effectiveness for the man of today are:
- Muscle elasticity and joint mobility, through specific techniques of muscle lengthening (district and global) and joint mobilization, so as to prevent and eliminate muscle contractures and retractions and preserve joint and connective tissue integrity.
- Strength and endurance, through targeted muscle strengthening and cardio-respiratory training, so as to "counter" the force of gravity in a more physiological way.
- Breathing, thanks to respiratory re-education, an indispensable element for the well-being of the musculoskeletal, visceral and psychic system.
- Proprioception and motor skills, by means of specific techniques for regaining control of one's body (neuromuscular re-education) and installation of increasingly complex motor schemes (engrams).
- Ability to concentrate and self-relax, therefore to manage stress, thanks to the way in which physical and respiratory exercises are performed, to the playful aspect of fun, self-gratification and relaxation that accompanies them as well as to the conscious use of neuroassociative conditioning.
- Posture, balance and movement, as a natural consequence of all this.
This entails, at all ages, an increased psycho-physical well-being, that is:
- improvement of general metabolism
- improvement of blood circulation
- regularization of blood pressure
- improvement of the functions of the digestive system
- improved breathing
- improvement of general endurance
- restoration of autonomic control and the correct sleep / wake cycle
- strengthening of the immune system
- strengthening of the regenerating and self-healing functions
- increased release of endorphins
- elimination of body overweight and maintenance of a healthy weight
- cessation of chronic stress.
Finally, not to be overlooked is the gratifying effect of liking oneself and pleasing oneself more, thanks to the improved aesthetic aspect.
Indications of such postural gymnastics are therefore the treatment and prevention of the most common musculoskeletal discomforts (scoliosis, lumbago, sciatica, neck pain, scapulo-humeral periarthritis, coxalgia, gonalgia, arthrosis, osteoporosis, etc.), circulatory (venous stasis, varicose veins, arterial hyper / hypo-tension, etc.), organic (insomnia, alteration of the autonomic nervous system and weakening of the immune system, gastrointestinal problems) and psychic (difficulty concentrating and memory, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, etc.).
This gymnastics also provides the foundation on which to build specific training programs.
GP TIB features and guidelines
TIB Postural Gymnastics consists of an "integrated wellness technique, which brings together the best of various ancient and modern techniques, blending and evolving them ad hoc in a puzzle of maximum effectiveness for the" modern man, according to "ancient knowledge" and modern scientific acquisitions. . Following the pace of the latter, this technique is constantly evolving in the search for excellence in results.
The three guidelines of the project GPTIB are:
- use of targeted and multiple-effect exercises, so as to be of maximum effectiveness in achieving all the objectives set;
- do not need special equipment but only easily accessible tools, so as to facilitate frequent execution of it;
- theoretical-practical teaching of maximum effectiveness of the technique, so as to facilitate conscious learning and self-execution.
Phases of a TIB Postural Gymnastics session
GP TIB sessions take place in a relaxed, anti-stress and proactive environment. Lessons can be individual, in groups. In any case, the principles of the various techniques used must be customized to the specific needs of the individual. The average duration of each lesson is 1.5 hours; some of it is used to explain the reasons and benefits of certain exercises.
Joint mobilizations
Joint mobilizations have the primary objective of restoring a correct amplitude of joint movements (ROM = Range of Motion) by resolving states of muscular contraction and adhesions of the fascial system. This is crucial for the purpose of a correct realignment of posture, for correct execution. of body movements and for a sufficient blood supply, in particular, of the articular surfaces as they are not supplied directly but by diffusion from the surrounding tissues.
A further substantial function of joint mobilization is the restoration and optimization of proprioception and of "unmasking" the insidious unconscious muscular tensions.
Joint mobilizations can be performed passively, as often happens in the initial phase of a motor re-education, or active, as usually happens during gymnastics (proprioceptive, postural, etc.) and in the advanced stages of motor re-education.
Joint mobilization therefore plays a substantial role both curative and preventive as well as maximizing athletic performance.
In Postural Gymnastics TIB articular mobilizations concern, in particular, the "critical joints" of rotation on the transverse plane and of motor balance: scapulo-humeral girdle, cervical and dorsal hinges, pelvic girdle, ankles.
The method of execution generally respects the common condition of "primary lumbar hyperlordosis", therefore "pelvic anteversion" and "straight lordosis" of the cervical tract are never forced. Maximum articular excursion and maximum control are sought. movement and muscle state.
