What is converted rice?

The converted is a “naturally enriched” rice, thanks to an industrial processing technique.

Converted is also used as a synonym for parboiled; others tend to differentiate the two terms, since the most recent converted is processed in a more technologically advanced way.In reality, the physical principle of transformation is exactly the same that, over the years, has been logically developed and integrated.

Note: “naturally enriched” means that, unlike other products - to which minerals and vitamins are artificially added - the converted one uses the nutritional elements normally present in other parts of the caryopsis that would be excluded with the polishing.
