Ingrediants
For the balls
- 150 g of goat cheese
- 100 g of strawberries
- a few mint leaves
- 1 pinch of pepper
- 1 sprig of parsley
- 1 pinch of salt
To serve
- About 20 g of poppy seeds
- About 20 g of sesame seeds
- About 50 g of strawberries
Materials Needed
- Food cutting board
- Knife
- Bowls of various sizes
- Toothpick
- Wooden spoon
- Teaspoons
- Latex gloves
Preparation
- Wash the strawberries well in cold water, then dry them with a soft cloth and remove the stalk. Cut the strawberries into very small pieces.
- Pour the goat cheese into a bowl and mix it with the chopped strawberries. Season with salt and pepper.
- Chop the parsley and mint, then add the aromatic herbs to the goat and strawberry cream. Leave the cream to rest in the refrigerator for at least 60 minutes: in this way, it will be easier to obtain balls.
- When it is cold and compact, take a small amount of cream with two teaspoons and obtain balls, with the help of your hands possibly protected by latex gloves: there will be about 20-25 balls.
- Roll one half of the balls in the sesame seeds and the rest in the poppy seeds.
The right idea
Those who are not particularly fond of sesame and poppy seeds, may decide to roll the cheese balls on chopped nuts, such as hazelnuts, walnuts, almonds or salted pistachios.- Cut the strawberries (for decoration) into quarters. Stick each ball into a toothpick and finish with a quarter of strawberry and a mint leaf.
- Serve the balls very cold.

These cheese balls challenge the summer! Not surprisingly, I suggest them to be made for a fresh summer appetizer, which may be enriched with fruit and vegetables of all kinds. Sometimes it's nice to dare even in the kitchen, don't you think?Nutritional values and Health Comment on the recipe
