Theoretical basis of food combinations: some terms used in this article reflect the characteristic style of alternative medicine and must therefore be interpreted with a critical spirit. The need to divide food classes so categorically within meals is NOT generally accepted by medical science, even though many theoretical principles on digestive mechanisms are scientifically founded.
Earl Sandwich was the inventor of the sandwich.
Food associations were introduced into creation by "corrupt" human beings. Wild animals (which are in good health) never feed on a large variety of foods; each of their meals is composed of a single kind of food or almost.
When one eats bread with cheese, the bread impedes the digestion of the cheese and vice versa. When you eat cheese or milk together with bread, some require a very acidic environment to be digested, the other not. Thus protein digestion occurs (cheese, milk, eggs) as opposed to starchy digestion (bread, rice, potatoes, semolina); in a word, indigestion occurs. Thus, what has been introduced is only partially digested, while the remainder is expelled with a considerable loss of energy.
Bread combined with jam, honey, etc. it is not digested well; in fact, every starchy is badly transformed if it is associated with sugar. Starchy digestion (bread), for example, begins in the mouth and continues in the stomach, sugars instead are digested exclusively in the intestine. When sugars prolong their stay in the stomach, due to the digestion of bread, they ferment rapidly assisted by the heat and humidity, and the whole mass goes into fermentation thus causing acidity, indigestion, burning and gas. The melon is indigestible for many, but if taken alone and between meals it is easily digestible, for everyone. Acid fruits (lemon, tomato, etc.) hinder digestion and consume the minerals of the organism, if they are ingested together with starchy products (bread, potatoes, etc.). Fruit must be consumed alone in a single meal, combining it if you want. with other types of fruit of the same taste.
Any protein food must be taken together with vegetables and that's it, without oil, as fats hinder the digestion of proteins.
Only sour fruit pairs well enough with white cheese and nuts.
Starchy must be ingested together with vegetables with oil if you want and nothing else. Many vegetarians do not appreciate the value of perfect food associations and do not want to take them into account; however, they must admit that they are often affected by disease albeit in form. mild such as drowsiness, skin reactions, etc. To regain perfect balance, they will resort to natural remedies: cold water baths, herbal teas, clay, etc. If you respect nature properly, you will understand that even these natural remedies are useless.
Man should feed on natural foods consumed in a virgin state, using only one kind of food per meal, once or twice a day, but always changing species.
This is where the whole science of human nutrition is summarized, a science capable of eliminating any disease and organic defect. But with the times we go through, and with the current psychological state, with the exception of some individuals, asking a lot, all of a sudden it would be too much. Those who really intend to move towards a better state of health, must take into account the food combinations. For the first few days, if desired, you can eat fruit half an hour before meals and eat sweet fruit half an hour after starchy meals. Protein foods eaten alone before starchy are more (but not very good) digestible; on the contrary, digestion will be more difficult if starchy and protein foods are ingested at the same time.
For adults, milk must be taken as a single meal, alone and curdled. With the exception of children up to five years of age, it is much wiser not to use milk. The individual should not drink liquids with meals.
Do not eat little and often, except in exceptional cases (after a fast, etc.). It is advisable to divide the meals and eat only during meals, which must be two or three a day. Never eat immediately after a great physical or intellectual effort; do not eat when you are not hungry; if you drink when you are thirsty, why then do not eat only when you have an appetite? No fear: you do not die by skipping one or more meals.
A human being can stay alive for two, ten, thirty and even one hundred days without touching any food. Resistance in fasting depends on the organic reserve and personal psychological state. Keep in mind that eating without being hungry means "running towards disease and death". The number of people who have died from being forced to eat is immense, and equally great is the number of children who have died from forced overfeeding by their parents. In truth, one dies much more easily by eating than by fasting judiciously, and it is useful to remember that the fast performed competently it is an excellent means for the elimination of evil. Lack of appetite is a warning of wise nature which intends to make it clear that the ailing body must not receive food. Failure to heed this warning means increasing the pains of existence.
The phrase "hara hachi bu" (get up from the table with an 80% full stomach) is attributed to the greater longevity of the inhabitants of the Japanese island of Okinawa. A slight caloric restriction has been shown to be effective in significantly prolonging the longevity of laboratory mice, especially when compared to that of overfed guinea pigs. Controlled or intermittent fasting is supported by numerous schools of alternative medicine, but also by various exponents of the official one; however, these are delicate practices, which require the supervision of experts in the field. In general it is good to avoid any possible extremeization of the concept; getting up from the table with a sliver of appetite and reducing the amount of food the day after a particularly abundant meal, can be considered a simple, healthy rule with no contraindications (in healthy subjects).
