BICOMPLEX ® is a drug based on B vitamins: Vit.B1, Vit.B2, Vit.B3, Vit.B9, Vit.B12.
THERAPEUTIC GROUP: Vitamin complexes B
Indications BICOMPLEX ® - Vitamins of group B
BICOMPLEX ® is used as a therapeutic adjuvant in the treatment of hepatitis, infectious diseases and anemia.
B vitamins have also been found to be effective in improving the health conditions of anorexic patients or patients with growth deficiency.
Mechanism of action BICOMPLEX ® - Vitamins of group B
BICOMPLEX ® is a drug consisting of a series of vitamin elements of group B, including folic acid and cyanocobalamine, particularly useful in the treatment of anemic states, and in particular of megaloblastic anemia.
The B vitamins are a series of precious elements in the "functional economy of the organism", participating as cofactors in numerous enzymatic reactions, useful both in the production of energy starting from macromolecules such as carbohydrates, lipids and proteins and in the processes biosynthetics.
Of particular importance is the antioxidant role of these vitamins, necessary to protect the cell from oxidative insults exerted by reactive oxygen species, thus avoiding damage to cellular structures useful for the survival of entire organs and tissues.
A separate discussion must be made for folinic acid and cyanocobalamine, vitamins capable of promoting the synthesis of nucleotides such as thymine, involved in the synthesis of DNA, and detoxifying the body from important catabolites such as homocysteine, involved in first line in the genesis of cardiovascular damage.
In the light of what has just been said, it is clear that vitamin B deficiencies can seriously affect the patient's state of health, manifesting pathologies characterized by an aggravating and highly debilitating symptom concert.

Am J Clin Nutr. 2011 Jul; 94: 278-86. Epub 2011 May 18.
Cognitive function after supplementation with B vitamins and long-chain omega-3 fatty acids: ancillary findings from the SU.FOL.OM3 randomized trial.
Andreeva VA, Kesse-Guyot E, Barberger-Gateau P, Fezeu L, Hercberg S, Galan P.
Work that demonstrates how nutritional supplementation with B vitamins and omega 3, while not having a direct effect on the cognitive aspects of the general population, can instead prevent its decline in patients at high risk.
2. VITAMINS OF GROUP B: DRUGS OR SUPPLEMENTS?
Postgrad Med. 2011 Mar; 123: 70-83.
Important considerations for treatment with dietary supplement versus prescription niacin products.
Backes JM, Padley RJ, Moriarty PM.
Study that focuses on the differences in terms of composition, dosage and relative therapeutic effect between supplements based on B vitamins and drugs, demonstrating how medical prescriptions are more effective in the treatment of overt pathological conditions.
3. VITAMINS OF GROUP B AND HOMOCYSTEINE IN AUTISTIC PATIENTS
Nutr Res. 2011 Apr; 31: 318-21.
Vitamin supplementation reduces the level of homocysteine in the urine of autistic children.
Kałużna-Czaplińska J, Michalska M, Rynkowski J.
Supplementation with B vitamins has been shown to be useful in reducing urinary homocysteine concentrations in pediatric patients with autism, thus proving useful in preventing the onset of cardiovascular diseases.
