Oregano in Herbalist: Properties of Oregano
Oregano is a widely used spice for gastronomic purposes, but as an essential oil it is also used in phytotherapy: it represents, in fact, a powerful antibacterial and antifungal (medical prescription). However, its use is limited due to its low therapeutic index , being irritating to skin and mucous membranes.
