Whenever summer approaches, in the hope of showing a nice slim body on the beach, I see the most unthinkable and absurd things being done in the gyms to lose all the fat accumulated during the year.
For this reason I see people running on treadmills in July with a sweater on or with plastic overalls, not to mention those much-publicized neoprene abdomen bands.
According to the thesis of some "experts" (more in marketing than in fitness), sweating more helps you lose weight. And "as if we said that with the same intensity, half an hour of running in the summer is more slimming than the same half" hour done in winter, absurd!
If we asked ourselves the question of why we sweat when it is hot or when we work out, we would find that fat is not in the least questioned.
To be efficient, our organism must always and under all circumstances maintain homeostasis (balance). In the case of exercise, our thermal equilibrium is "lost" due to the increased body temperature, which usually remains between 36 and 37 degrees centigrade.
In order not to have damage, the excess heat is dissipated and one of the means available to our body is sweat.
Therefore, when the temperature rises due to environmental circumstances or due to an exercise, the sweat, rich in water, evaporates, cooling the skin and the whole body.
There is also to say that if there is no evaporation there is no cooling, so as well as useless it is also dangerous to wrap oneself in who knows what material, as the latter prevents sweat from evaporating with the risk of overheating you.
Another question to ask is: what is sweat made of?
It is mainly made up of water, sodium, chlorine, potassium, magnesium with modest amounts of copper, iron, vitamins, hormones, urea, creatinine, amino acids, lactic acid, glucose.
As you can see, sweat does not contain any form of fat.
So "the question arises spontaneously": how can sweat make you lose fat if it itself does not contain it nor does it trigger any chemical reaction that interests it?
Hoping to have clearly expressed the ineffectiveness of this method, and therefore to have convinced you to eliminate it from your daily training, I invite you to have greater care of your health which, due to these "mezzucoli" proposed by marketing experts, could have some unpleasant consequences.
