Beclomethasone is available in many medicines having different pharmaceutical formulations and suitable for different routes of administration, generally in the form of beclometasone dipropionate.
Most of these medicines, in order to be sold, require the presentation of a specific medical prescription (usually repeatable, RR): some of them, however, are classified as class A drugs, therefore their cost is reimbursable by the National Health Service (SSN ), wholly or partially (in some cases it may be necessary to pay a ticket); while others are classified as class C drugs, therefore their cost is fully borne by the citizen.
Recall, however, that some nasal sprays Beclomethasone-based drugs are classified as SOP (No Prescription Required) drugs, therefore, they can be purchased without a prescription.
In some medicines, beclomethasone is associated with other active ingredients (for example, formoterol, salbutamol, neomycin); however, in this article we will deal with the main characteristics of beclomethasone alone and not beclomethasone associated with other active ingredients.
